Meet Jamilu.
20 years old and from Gambia.
To reach Italy he crossed six countries: The Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and the most dangerous of all, Libya.
His journey took about three months. He was 17 years old when he crossed the Mediterranean Sea and landed in Catania, Sicily on 25 June 2015. He was transferred directly to Naples to the state housing where he still resides.
Jamilu is an amazing human being.
We met him at Napoli Centrale, the main railway station, where we were scheduled to reunite with Bakary-David (20, Gambia), who joined him for the visit. MotM plans to record his full Journey Story at our next meeting in Naples, Italy.
